 BULLETIN

While Angels Watch wish to thank everyone who came to the London show at the Slimelight on 25th June to see them perform alongside 6Comm and Sol Invictus. Also to those who couldn't make it but offered support and were present in spirit.

As many of you will know, the fact that the concert went ahead was a victory in itsel
f, but, what underlined the events success was the comradery of those who attended in the face of spite and ignorance.

The money generated will go towards the ongoing legal costs that are [unfortunately] necessary to pursue those who would censor future music and art events of this nature. A special thanks to organisers Gaya and Patrick and to Mak at the club for his resolve.

There's been quite a large update to this site which includes a video from the show in the new 'Sound & Vision' section. Thanks to 'profunx' for filming that.

:GOLGATHA:                                         The Horns of Joy

"For 'The Horns of Joy' :GOLGATHA: enlisted the vocalists from DAWN & DUSK ENTWINED and WHILE ANGELS WATCH and have created inimitable hymns about the great calamities of the 20th century: "This is the sound of war - what has it all been good for?" Trancelike rhythms slowly build up, making way for songs of guilt and pain, but also of hope and joy. 'The Horns of Joy' is dedicated to the nihilistic tendencies of the early 20th century - and their necessary overcoming.

With this release :GOLGATHA: have exceeded the sum of their work to date and have developed their distinct ritual folk sound in crystalline clarity over a cycle of 13 elaborate songs. In a captivating manner they demonstrate their special position in the landscape of European alternative music."

VARIOUS           Thanateros - Visions of Love & Death

This compilation is dedicated to the morbid photo-erotic art of Helmut Wolech, one of the true Vienna underground icons. The German cultural magazine IKONEN selected musicians who either share a strong connection with the artists topics - the relationship of Love and Death [Thanatos and Eros] or are colleagues of the artist and/or magazine. While Angels Watch perform a unique cover of the Eurythmics song 'Savage'. The music ranges between melodic, apocalyptic pop, folk, ambient, bleak and industrial. A blend also represented in Helmut's work, playful, yet dark and haunting. For orders and further information: IKONEN
